Ayr Festivals
As a relatively small charity, Ayr Festivals works to bring life and energy into the town centre; showcasing the energy and creativity of Ayrshire, both past and present. The last Tamfest live event (in 2019), did just that; increasing footfall in Ayr town centre by more than 90%. A highly motivated team of individuals, led by Chair, Meredith McCrindle and generously supported by the Travel, Tourism and Events team at South Ayrshire Council, Ayr Festivals helps to showcase the best of this much under-rated county.Ayr Festivals is Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SC0475O4)
Tamfest
Entertaining families since 2015, Tamfest is a unique festival of fun, music and accessible Arts. It runs (in-person) all through October, with other online events through the year, and is based around Ayrshire’s historic and highly individual take on a Halloween theme Inspired by Robert Burns’ epic poem, Tam o’ Shanter, Tamfest’s wide range of events are less scarey and more inclusive, funny, enlightening, foot-tapping, hands-on, spine-tingling, extravagant and joyful.
