April has been a busy and productive month here at Tamfest! The team have been working hard behind the scenes to bring you high impact and unique events in October 2021. We look forward to letting you know about these soon! The greatest news however, is our continued partnership with the South Ayrshire Council. This was confirmed at the end of April for the 7th year in a row and we are so grateful for their support to help Tamfest grow worldwide. Since 2015 the South Ayrshire Council have given Tamfest key resources in order to make our festival develop into the largest in Scotland, dedicated to a fictional character, our hero, Tam o’ Shanter! April’s Tam’s Sunday Club was a great success, with fantastic performances from Lachlan Goudie, Elsa McTaggart & Jamie Mcgeechan. With a combined viewing in the first week of over 7,000 views! In addition, we have had some great features from Ayrshire Magazine and Ayr Advertiser and thank them both for their continued support. Please check these out on their social media accounts and websites. As mentioned last month, due to the success of Tam’s Sunday Club we are delighted to be starting Young Tam Friday Club on May 21st which will showcase the talent of young performers from Ayrshire, Scotland and worldwide! Young Tam Friday Club will happen every second month and please keep checking our social media for updates on the event and line ups. Stay tuned!
We will be involved in the Camperdown Robert Burns/ Scottish Festival in New South Wales, Australia that is taking place in July. Tamfest now has a worldwide audience and it is fantastic to be involved in this great festival. More details to follow soon! If you go to our events page on Tamfest Facebook, you will find details on all our activities and events coming up and the events page is updated regularly. We also have some new projects to let you know about soon! We hope you all have a great May ahead and as always we can’t thank you enough for your continued support and enthusiasm for Tamfest!
